The electromagnetic stirrers are mainly used in the continuous casting to improve the product quality and increase the steel production. There are three possible stirrer applications, according to the position and required effects on cast product:
- M-EMS (Mould Electromagnetic Stirrers);
- S-EMS (Strand Electromagnetic Stirrers);
- F-EMS (Final Electromagnetic Stirrers).
